Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: But he that hateth reproof is brutish.

Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: And he that hateth reproof shall die.


Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh And intermeddleth with all wisdom.


A brutish man knoweth not; Neither doth a fool understand this.


Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: Whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: All they that hate me love death.


Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: Much more the wicked and the sinner.


A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: But a man of wicked devices will he condemn.


Surely I am more brutish than any man, And have not the understanding of a man.


and the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the rising be white in the skin, and it have turned the hair white, and there be quick raw flesh in the rising;


Let the righteous smite me; It shall be a kindness: And let him reprove me; It shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: For yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.


The wise in heart will receive commandments: But a prating fool shall fall.
