He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: But a prating fool shall fall.
Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: Neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.
He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, He teacheth with his fingers;
Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
The wise in heart will receive commandments: But a prating fool shall fall.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Why doth thine heart carry thee away? And what do thy eyes wink at,
Wise men lay up knowledge: But the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: Moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.
