The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, To the soul that seeketh him.

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; And his truth endureth to all generations.

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: In the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower: The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; For his mercy endureth for ever.

the voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at first, saith the LORD.

In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: For thou wilt answer me.

And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

Good and upright is the LORD: Therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: Thou hast given commandment to save me; For thou art my rock and my fortress.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

But I will sing of thy power; Yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: For thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.

He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

Doth not Hezekiah persuade you to give over yourselves to die by famine and by thirst, saying, The LORD our God shall deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

with him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.

The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; The name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: He is their strength in the time of trouble.

And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of evil.

Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.

The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.

Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD God of their fathers.

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: For thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
