Thou hast made us as the offscouring and refuse In the midst of the people.

being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.

I was a derision to all my people; And their song all the day.

And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
