For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; And the floods compassed me about: All thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: All thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
Waters flowed over mine head; Then I said, I am cut off.
When the waves of death compassed me, The floods of ungodly men made me afraid;
I love the LORD, Because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, Therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.
I called upon thy name, O LORD, Out of the low dungeon.
