Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, But I would make supplication to my judge.

If I be wicked, woe unto me; And if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; Therefore see thou mine affliction;

If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, And make thy supplication to the Almighty;

who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, And thou shalt pay thy vows.

I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; Shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.

I would seek unto God, And unto God would I commit my cause:

For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

There the righteous might dispute with him; So should I be delivered for ever from my judge.

and prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.

If I had called, and he had answered me; Yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.

If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: If I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.

Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my soul: I would despise my life.

Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: Yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
