My skin is black upon me, And my bones are burned with heat.

Their visage is blacker than a coal; They are not known in the streets: Their skin cleaveth to their bones; It is withered, it is become like a stick.

For my days are consumed like smoke, And my bones are burned as an hearth.

For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; Yet do I not forget thy statutes.

When I heard, my belly trembled; My lips quivered at the voice: Rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, That I might rest in the day of trouble: When he cometh up unto the people, He will invade them with his troops.

My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; So that I forget to eat my bread.
