Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:

a day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And brake their bands in sunder.

Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron;

Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, And covered us with the shadow of death.

My face is foul with weeping, And on my eyelids is the shadow of death;

And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.

Let that day be darkness; Let not God regard it from above, Neither let the light shine upon it.

As for that night, let darkness seize upon it; Let it not be joined unto the days of the year, Let it not come into the number of the months.

There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
