Then said Joab, I may not tarry thus with thee. And he took three darts in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak.

And ten young men that bare Joab's armour compassed about and smote Absalom, and slew him.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.

For ye say, Where is the house of the prince? And where are the dwelling places of the wicked?

For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, When God taketh away his soul?

That the hypocrite reign not, Lest the people be ensnared.

I have seen the foolish taking root: But suddenly I cursed his habitation.

Behold, this is the joy of his way, And out of the earth shall others grow.

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

LORD, how long shall the wicked, How long shall the wicked triumph?

How long shall they utter and speak hard things? And all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
