and the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

The snare is laid for him in the ground, And a trap for him in the way.

For he is cast into a net by his own feet, And he walketh upon a snare.

Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, And taketh it even out of the thorns, And the robber swalloweth up their substance.

The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set gins for me. Selah.

The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: But the righteous doth sing and rejoice.
