Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.

O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

Give them sorrow of heart, Thy curse unto them.

And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.

But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest at any time they should see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And should understand with their heart, And should be converted, and I should heal them.

He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; That they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, And be converted, And I should heal them.

For the heart of this people is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes have they closed; Lest they should see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And should be converted, And I should heal them.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

to the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the LORD thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as appeareth this day.

the great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:

yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
