Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, Thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: A people which I knew not shall serve me.

Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; And thou hast made me the head of the heathen: A people whom I have not known shall serve me.

And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, Art not the least among the princes of Juda: For out of thee shall come a Governor, That shall rule my people Israel.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
