The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

They that make them are like unto them: So is every one that trusteth in them.

In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.

Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men.

They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.
