that make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: They shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.

and said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand.
