But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.

It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.

For the LORD shall judge his people, And repent himself for his servants, When he seeth that their power is gone, And there is none shut up, or left.

O that they were wise, that they understood this, That they would consider their latter end!

O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.

I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; Because they kept not thy word.

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, And said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, And Israel had walked in my ways!

How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, And grieve him in the desert!

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;
