For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

and the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:

For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
