Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.

Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, And shall drive him to his feet.

For destruction from God was a terror to me, And by reason of his highness I could not endure.

For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, The poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: The terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.

How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors.

Thou, even thou, art to be feared: And who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

Who knoweth the power of thine anger? Even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.

The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

saying, This fellow persuadeth men to worship God contrary to the law.

And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:

For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.

And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

for our God is a consuming fire.

and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
