And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

but now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.

to them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
