For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

For the LORD giveth wisdom: Out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

but hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:

speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
