Leviticus 27:1

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the Lord made between him and the children of Israel in mount Si´nai by the hand of Moses.

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation.

Every thing devoted in Israel shall be thine.

And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
