The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.

A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

and I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.

And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled.

And the king said unto the woman, Go to thine house, and I will give charge concerning thee.

Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? Was not my soul grieved for the poor?

If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! We cannot be satisfied.

The stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors to the traveler.
