Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

and I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded:

At the same time, saith the Lord, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.

Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst: but thou saidst, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go.

Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of E´phra-im, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of E´phra-im, and for all the house of Israel his companions:

Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off.

Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is passed over from my God?

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.

Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.

And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chalde´ans.

And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the Lord:

Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?

And where is now my hope? As for my hope, who shall see it?

O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
