And at the end of three years they took it: even in the sixth year of Hezeki´ah, that is the ninth year of Hoshe´a king of Israel, Samaria was taken.

Notwithstanding, the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.

Is not Calno as Car´chemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?
