He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Wherefore, let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

but, after thy hardness and impenitent heart, treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.

before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked; and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
