And when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers, and that Jo´ab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may go to mine own country.

So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.

saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.

So Benai´ah the son of Jehoi´ada went up, and fell upon him, and slew him: and he was buried in his own house in the wilderness.

Then Pharaoh said unto him, But what hast thou lacked with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thine own country? And he answered, Nothing: howbeit let me go in any wise.
