And these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and night.
Then stood up Jesh´u-a the son of Joz´adak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerub´babel the son of She-al´ti-el, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.
And Mattani´ah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbuki´ah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammu´a, the son of Galal, the son of Jedu´thun.
The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabi´ah, the son of Mattani´ah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house of God.
And the chief of the Levites: Hashabi´ah, Sherebi´ah, and Jesh´u-a the son of Kad´mi-el, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.
Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jesh´u-a, and Bani, Kad´mi-el, Shebani´ah, Bunni, Sherebi´ah, Bani, and Chena´ni, and cried with a loud voice unto the Lord their God.
