but his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel;)
and by the borders of the children of Manas´seh, Beth–she´an and her towns, Ta´anach and her towns, Megid´do and her towns, Dor and her towns. In these dwelt the children of Joseph the son of Israel.
Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of E´phra-im, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manas´seh and E´phra-im: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance.
Of the tribe of Zeb´ulun were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.
And the Lord was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.
And the children of Benjamin did not drive out the Jeb´usites that inhabited Jerusalem; but the Jeb´usites dwell with the children of Benjamin in Jerusalem unto this day.
