Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cle´ophas, and Mary Mag´dalene.
While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Mag´dalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
(yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also;) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.
And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.
And the one of them, whose name was Cle´opas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
and certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Mag´dalene, out of whom went seven devils,
The first day of the week cometh Mary Mag´dalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
