Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arphad, and the king of the city of Sepharva´im, Hena, and Ivah?

And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharva´im, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.

Where are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharva´im, Hena, and Ivah? have they delivered Samaria out of mine hand?

Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharva´im, of Hena, and Ivah?

Is not Calno as Car´chemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?

Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharva´im? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed, as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Telas´sar?

And Hezeki´ah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezeki´ah went up unto the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord.

Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad; for they have heard evil tidings: they are faint-hearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every stronghold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.
