Esther 7:9

And Harbo´na, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mor´decai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehu´man, Biztha, Harbo´na, Bigtha, and Abag´tha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasue´rus the king,

Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and tomorrow speak thou unto the king that Mor´decai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.

And while they were yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.

And it was found written, that Mor´decai had told of Bigtha´na and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasue´rus.

Then the king Ahasue´rus said unto Esther the queen and to Mor´decai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.

And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.

but when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors.

And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counselors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.
