the plain also, and Jordan, and the coast thereof, from Chin´nereth even unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, under Ash´doth–pis´gah eastward.
And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomor´rah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zo´ar.
He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the Lord God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amit´tai, the prophet, which was of Gath–he´pher.
Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
and from the plain to the sea of Chin´neroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Beth–jesh´imoth; and from the south, under Ash´doth–pis´gah:
and in the valley, Beth–a´ram, and Beth–nim´rah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, Jordan and his border, even unto the edge of the sea of Chin´nereth on the other side Jordan eastward.
And the east border was the salt sea, even unto the end of Jordan. And their border in the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the uttermost part of Jordan:
and the border passed along to the side of Beth–hog´lah northward: and the outgoings of the border were at the north bay of the salt sea at the south end of Jordan: this was the south coast.
that the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon a heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zar´etan; and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.
