2 Kings 15:29King James Version - American EditionIn the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tig´lath–pile´ser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and A´bel–beth–ma´achah, and Jano´ah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gil´e-ad, and Galilee, all the land of Naph´tali, and carried them captive to Assyria. See the chapter |
And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Til´gath–pilne´ser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manas´seh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.
Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.
