And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehosh´aphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ra´moth–gil´e-ad? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war.

the son of Geber, in Ra´moth–gil´e-ad; to him pertained the towns of Ja´ir the son of Manas´seh, which are in Gil´e-ad; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brazen bars:

And he went and sent to Jehosh´aphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am as thou art, my people as thy people, and my horses as thy horses.

And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that he had with him, and persuaded him to go up with him to Ra´moth–gil´e-ad.

And Jehosh´aphat said unto the king of Israel, Inquire, I pray thee, at the word of the Lord today.

And Jehu the son of Hana´ni the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehosh´aphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the Lord? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the Lord.

Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
