Solomon sought therefore to kill Jerobo´am. And Jerobo´am arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
And it came to pass, when Jerobo´am the son of Nebat, who was yet in Egypt, heard of it, (for he was fled from the presence of king Solomon, and Jerobo´am dwelt in Egypt,)
And it came to pass, when Jerobo´am the son of Nebat, who was in Egypt, whither he had fled from the presence of Solomon the king, heard it, that Jerobo´am returned out of Egypt.
Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.
