Merai´oth begat Amari´ah, and Amari´ah begat Ahi´tub,

The sons of Kohath; Ammin´adab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son,

and Uzzi begat Zerahi´ah, and Zerahi´ah begat Merai´oth,

and Ahi´tub begat Zadok, and Zadok begat Ahim´a-az,

Serai´ah the son of Hilki´ah, the son of Meshul´lam, the son of Zadok, the son of Merai´oth, the son of Ahi´tub, was the ruler of the house of God.

Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not.
