The sons of Mera´ri; Mahli, Libni his son, Shim´e-i his son, Uzza his son,

And these are they that waited with their children. Of the sons of the Ko´hathites; Heman a singer, the son of Joel, the son of Shem´u-el,

Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abi´ah: they were judges in Beer–sheba.
