King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

This is the joyful city, dwelling confidently, the one saying in her heart, I am, and none other still is. How she has become a ruin, a resting place for animals! Everyone who passes near her shall hiss; he shall shake his hand!

Because of the wrath of Jehovah, it shall not be lived in, but all of it shall be a waste. Everyone who goes by Babylon shall be amazed and hiss at all her plagues.

How alone sits the city that was full of people! She has become like a widow, one great among the nations; a noblewoman among the provinces has become a payer of tribute.

How the Lord has clouded over the daughter of Zion in His anger! He cast the beauty of Israel down from the heavens to the earth, and did not remember His footstool in the day of His wrath.

All who pass by clap their palms at you. They hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city which they called the perfection of beauty, the joy of all the earth?

The traders among the peoples hiss over you; you have become terrors. And until forever you shall not be.

Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, So says the Lord Jehovah, Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods, in the heart of the seas; yet you are a man, and not God, though you give your heart as the heart of gods.

Saying, do you say, I am of the gods before him who kills you? But you are a man, and not God, in the hands of him piercing you.

Speak and say, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, great monster who lies in the midst of his rivers, who has said, My river is mine, and I have made it.

So, O king, let my counsel be pleasing to you: Even break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by pitying the humble one, whether there will be duration to your prosperity.

There is no healing for your fracture; your wound is severe. All who hear of your report shall clap the palm over you, for on whom has your evil not continually passed?

He is terrible and fearful; his judgment and his exaltation goes forth from himself.

But those passing by blasphemed Him, shaking their heads,
