Zechariah 9:8

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

And I will camp around My house from an army, from one passing by, and from one returning. And one oppressing shall not pass through them again. For now I have seen with My eyes.

You shall be established in righteousness; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near to you.

Violence shall not still be heard in your land, or wasting and ruin within your bor- ders; but you shall call your walls, Salvation, and your gates, Praise.

Awake! Awake! Put on your strength, Zion; put on your beautiful robes, O Jerusalem, the holy city. For never again shall uncircumcised and unclean ones come to you.

And they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and beam over the goodness of Jehovah, for grain, and for new wine, and for oil, and for the sons of the flock and the herd. And their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not add to languish any more.

For you shall not go out with haste, and not will you go by flight; for Jehovah is going before you, and the God of Israel gathers you.

As birds fly, so Jehovah of Hosts will shield over Jerusalem; shielding and delivering, and passing over, He will save it.

He shall judge the poor of the people; and He shall save the sons of the needy one; and He shall crush the oppressor.

The Angel of Jehovah camps around those who fear Him, and He sets them free.

It may be Jehovah will look on my affliction, and Jehovah will return good to me for his cursing this day.

And now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me, and I also have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them.

And they went up over the breadth of the land and encircled the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. And fire from God came down out of Heaven and devoured them.

And they shall live in it. And there shall not again be a shutting in, but Jerusalem shall dwell safely.

In that day Jehovah shall defend around those living in Jerusalem. And it will be, he being feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of Jehovah before them.

The Word that Jehovah spoke to Jeremiah the prophet of the coming of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, to strike the land of Egypt.

against Egypt, against the army of Pharaoh- necho, king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, struck in the fourth year of Jehoiakim, the son of Josiah, king of Judah:

In that day this song shall be sung in the land of Judah: A strong city to us; He sets up salvation as our walls and rampart.

Then Jehovah will create a pillar of cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night, over all the site of Mount Zion, and over her assemblies; for over all the glory will be a covering.

In his days Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim was a servant to him three years; and he turned and rebelled against him.

In his days Pharaoh-necho the king of Egypt came up against the king of Assyria by the river Euphrates; and King Josiah went out to meet him, and he caused him to die in Megiddo, when he saw him.

And Jehovah said, Seeing I have seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and I have heard their cry from before their taskmasters; for I know his sorrows.

And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth. But the remnant, even he, shall be for our God. And he shall be as a chief in Judah, and Ekron, like a Jebusite.

For I will defend this city, to save it, for My own sake, and for the sake of My servant David.

Do not be afraid of sudden dread, and of the ruin of the wicked ones when it comes.

In that day, a statement of Jehovah, I will strike every horse with panic and his rider with madness, says Jehovah. And I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and I will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.
