A man to whom God has given riches, and wealth, and honor, so that he lacks nothing for his soul of all that he desires; yet God does not give him the power to eat of it, but a foreign man eats it; this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.
Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim, and the fading flower, the glory of his beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley of those smitten with wine!
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the King of Heaven, for all His works are truth, and His ways are justice. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.
And I will cut off the ones living in Ashdod and him who holds the scepter from Ashkelon; and I will turn My hand against Ekron; and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, says the Lord Jehovah.
Ashkelon shall see and fear; and Gaza shall writhe in great pain; and Ekron shall be ashamed for her hope. And the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth. But the remnant, even he, shall be for our God. And he shall be as a chief in Judah, and Ekron, like a Jebusite.
Likewise, younger ones be subject to older ones; and all being subject to one another. gird on humility, because God sets Himself “against proud ones, but He gives grace to humble ones”. Prov. 3:34
