The burden of the Word of Jehovah for Israel, a statement of Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens, and founds the earth, and who forms the spirit of man within him.
He who has measured in the palm of His hand the waters and the heavens by a span meted out; and enclosed in the measure the dust of the earth, and weighed in the balance the mountains, and the hills in the scales,
He abiding over the circle of the earth sees and ones living in it are like grasshoppers; He who stretches the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to live in;
So says Jehovah God, creating the heavens and stretching them out; spreading out the earth and its produce, giving breath to the people on it, and spirit to those walking in it.
So says Jehovah, your Redeemer and the One forming you from the womb; I am Jehovah who makes all things; stretching out the heavens, I alone spreading out the earth. Who was with Me,
For so says Jehovah, the One creating the heavens; He is God, forming the earth and making it; He makes it stand, not creating it empty, but forming it to be lived in. I am Jehovah, and there is not one besides.
And you forget your Maker, Jehovah, who has stretched out the heavens and founded the earth. And you dread continually, every day, from the fury of the oppressor, since he was ready to destroy. And where is the fury of the one oppressing?
And you, O My servant Jacob, do not fear, a statement of Jehovah. Do not be terrified, O Israel. For, behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity. And I will bring back Jacob and have quiet and be untroubled, and no one will make him afraid.
Therefore, all those who devour you shall be devoured. And all the ones pressing you, every one of them, shall go into captivity. And those plundering you I will give up to plunder, and all preying on you I will give up for prey.
And Zedekiah the king swore secretly to Jeremiah, saying, As Jehovah lives, who made us this soul, I will not cause you to die, and I will not give you into the hand of these men who seek your soul.
Their Redeemer is strong, Jehovah of Hosts is His name. Striving He shall strive in their strife, so that He may give rest to the land, and make to tremble those living in Babylon.
Your prophets have visioned vanity and foolishness for you; and they have not revealed your iniquity in order to turn back your captivity. Yea, they visioned for you burdens of vanity and seductions.
Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a wilderness of desolation, from violence done to the sons of Judah, whose innocent blood they poured out in their land.
The burden of the Word of Jehovah against the land of Hadrach, and its resting place, Damascus, when the eye of man, and all the tribes of Israel shall be toward Jehovah,
Furthermore, indeed we have had fathers of our flesh as correctors, and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits, and we shall live?
