My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will call to account the hegoats. For Jehovah of Hosts has cared for His flock, the house of Judah, and made them as His splendid horse in battle.

Howl, shepherds, and cry, and roll yourselves in ashes, O leaders of the flock! For the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are fulfilled, and you shall fall like a desirable vessel.

My people are lost sheep, their shepherd has led them astray; they turned them back on the mountains, they have gone from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting place.

For so says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep, and seek them out.

As the shepherd seeks his flock in the day that he is among his scattered sheep, so I will seek out My sheep and will deliver them from all the places where they were scattered in a day of cloud, and thick cloud.

Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds Israel. Prophesy and say to them, to the shepherds, So says the Lord Jehovah: Woe to those feeding Israel, who are feeding themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock?

And he will defile by flatteries those who do evil against the covenant. But the people who know their God will be strong and will work.

And it shall be in the day of the sacrifice of Jehovah, I will call to account on the rulers and on the king’s sons, and all those clothed in foreign clothing.

And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed on them. In the houses of Ashkelon, they shall lie down in the evening, for Jehovah their God shall care for them and turn back their captivity.

Woe to the worthless shepherd who abandons the flock! The sword shall be against his arm and against his right eye. Withering His arm shall be withered, and darkening his right eye shall be darkened.

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, because He visited and worked redemption for His people.
