Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready in every good work,

My son, fear Jehovah and the king; do not meddle with those who change,

If the spirit of the ruler rises up against you, do not leave your place; for a mind of health quiets great sins.

Cause Me to remember; let us judge together; sum up for yourself, that you may be justified.

Do not listen to them. Serve the king of Babylon and live. Why should this city be a waste?

They said to Him, Caesar’s. Then He said to them, Then give back to Caesar the things of Caesar, and to God the things of God.

So that, my beloved brothers, you be firm, immovable, abounding in the work of the Lord always, knowing that your labor is not fruitless in the Lord.

And the man who acts with pride so as not to listen to the priest who is standing to serve Jehovah your God there, or to the judge, even that man shall die; and you shall remove the evil from Israel.

being filled with fruits of righteousness, the ones through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

for you to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work and growing into the full knowledge of God;

for kings and all the ones being in preeminence, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.

Having laid down these things to the brothers, you will be a good servant of Jesus Christ, having been nourished by the words of the faith, and by the good doctrine which you have followed.

being witnessed by good works, if she brought up children, if she was hospitable, if she washed the feet of the saints, if she relieved afflicted ones, if she followed after every good work.

For which cause I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

Remind them of these things, solemnly testifying before the Lord not to dispute about words for nothing useful, to the subversion of those hearing.

Therefore if anyone purifies himself from these, he will be a vessel unto honor, having been sanctified and made useful unto the Master, having been prepared to every good work.

They profess to know God, but by their works they deny Him, being abominable and disobedient, and to every good work disapproved.

who gave Himself on our behalf, “that He might redeem us from all lawlessness” “and purify” “for Himself a people for Himself for possession,” zealous of good works. Psa. 130:8; Eze. 37:23; Deut. 14:2

And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they may not be without fruit.

Faithful is the Word, and concerning these things I purpose you to strongly affirm that the ones believing God should take thought to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

perfect you in every good work, in order to do His will, doing in you that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Therefore I will not neglect to cause you to remember always concerning these things, though you know and have been confirmed in the present truth.

But I purpose to remind you, you once knowing these things, that the Lord, having saved a people out of the land of Egypt, in the second place destroyed the ones not believing.
