With the aged is wisdom, and understanding in the length of days.

They shall bear fruit in old age; they shall be fat and fresh,

The gray head is a crown of glory; it is found in the way of righteousness.

There shall not still be a suckling of days, or an old man that has not filled his days. For the boy shall die the son of a hundred years, but the sinner the son of a hundred years shall be accursed.

You shall rise up in the face of gray hair; and you shall honor the face of an old man; and be afraid of your God. I am Jehovah.

For through the grace having been given to me, I say to every one being among you, not to think too highly beyond what is right to think. But think to be of sound mind, even as God divided a measure of faith to each one.

Be sober uprightly, and do not sin; for some have ignorance of God. I speak to your shame.

But everyone striving controls himself in all things. Then the ones truly that they may receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.

For if we were out of our mind, it was to God; if we are clear-minded, it is for you.

meekness, self-control. Against such things there is not a law.

For the rest, brothers, as many things as are true, as many as are honorable, as many as are right, as many as are pure, as many as are pleasing, as many as are of good report, if of any virtue, and if of any praise, meditate on these things.

So then, we should not sleep, as the rest also do, but we should be awake and be sober.

But we being of day should be sober, “having put on the breastplate” of faith and love, and the hope of “salvation as a helmet;” Isa. 59:17

for fornicators, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and if any other thing is opposed to sound doctrine,

But the grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love in Christ Jesus.

to Timothy, a true child in the faith: Grace, mercy, peace from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

but the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience, and faith without hypocrisy,

Likewise, their wives are to be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.

Therefore it is right for the overseer to be blameless, husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, well-ordered, hospitable, apt at teaching;

ruling his own house well, having children in subjection with all honor.

Likewise, deacons are to be honorable, not double-tongued, not being given to much wine, not eager for ill gain,

Do not sharply chastise an older man, but exhort as a father; and younger ones as brothers,

This testimony is true; for which cause convict them severely, that they may be sound in the faith,

but hospitable, a lover of good, selfcontrolled, just, holy, sensible,

holding forth yourself as a pattern of good works about all things in doctrine, in purity, dignity, incorruption,

rather because of love I entreat, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ;

Therefore, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, completely hope on the grace being borne to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

But the end of all things has drawn near. Therefore be of sound mind, and be self-controlled unto prayers;

Be self-controlled. Be watchful, because your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion seeking someone he may devour;

and with the knowledge self-control, and with the self-control patience, and with the patience godliness,
