Nay, rather, O man, who are you, the one answering back to God? Shall the thing formed say to the One forming it, Why did You make me like this? Isa. 29:16
And the king said, What have I to do with you, sons of Zeruiah? For let him curse, even because Jehovah has said to him, Curse David. And who shall say, Why have you done so?
Shall the axe glorify itself over him chopping with it? Or shall the saw magnify itself over him moving it? As if a rod could wave those who lift it. As if a staff could raise what is not wood!
O your perversity! Shall the former be counted as the clay, that it shall say to its maker, He did not make me? Or shall the thing formed say to the former, He does not understand?
O house of Israel, am I not able to do to you as this potter? a statement of Jehovah. Behold, as the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.
And all those living in the earth are counted as nothing. And He does according to His will among the army of Heaven, and among those living in the earth. And no one is able to strike His hand or say to Him, What are You doing?
O man, He has declared to you what is good. And what does Jehovah require of you, but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to be humble to walk with your God?
Therefore, O man, you are without excuse, every one judging, for in that in which you judge the other, you condemn yourself; for you, the one judging, practice the same things.
But if God, desiring to display wrath, and to make His power known, endured in much long-suffering vessels of wrath having been fitted out for destruction,
