As when one plows and tears the earth, so our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.

You have given us like sheep for food and have scattered us among the nations.

Yea, for Your sake we are slain all the day; we are counted as sheep of slaughter.

He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, but He did not open His mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a ewe before her shearers is mute, and He opened not His mouth.

They will make you to be expelled from the synagogue, but an hour is coming that every one killing you will think to he offers a divine service before God.

But I make account of nothing, nor do I hold my life precious to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to solemnly testify the gospel of the grace of God.

And the content of the Scripture which he was reading was this: “He was led as a sheep to slaughter, and as a lamb is voiceless before the one shearing it, so He does not open His mouth.

Why are we also in danger every hour?

According to a day I die, by your boasting, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For I think that God pointed us out as last, the apostles, as condemned to death, because we became a spectacle to the world, even to angels and to men.

as being unknown, and yet being well known, as dying, and yet, look, we live; as scourged, and yet not put to death;

to know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
