And I said, I pray, Jehovah God of Heaven, the great and awesome God, keeping the covenant and mercy to those loving Him, and to keepers of His commandments,
And the land trembles and writhes in pain. For every purpose of Jehovah shall rise against Babylon, to set up the land of Babylon a waste without one living in it.
And I will bring the third part through the fire, and I will refine them as silver is refined. And I will test them as gold is tested. They shall call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, It is My people, and they shall say, Jehovah is my God.
and you shall love the Lord your God out of all your heart, and out of all your soul” and out of all your mind, “and out of all your strength.” This is the first commandment. Deut. 6:4, 5
for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of the One calling,
to the assembly of God which is in Corinth, those having been sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all the ones calling on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:
but even as it is written, “The things which an eye did not see, and an ear did not hear,” and did not come up on the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for the ones loving Him. Isa. 64:4
who made you eat manna in the wilderness, which your fathers did not know; that He might humble you and that He might prove you, to do you good at your latter end;
the One having saved us and having called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace given to us in Christ Jesus before eternal times,
However, the foundation of God stands firm, having this seal, “The Lord knows the ones being His.” Also, Let every one naming the name of Christ stand away from unrighteousness.
And because of this He is Mediator of a new covenant, so that, death having occurred for redemption of transgressions under the first covenant, the ones being called might receive the promise of the everlasting inheritance.
Blessed is the man who endures temptation, because, becoming approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to the ones loving Him.
Hear, my beloved brothers, did not God choose the poor ones of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to the ones loving Him?
But you are “an elect race,” “a royal priesthood,” “a holy nation,” “a people for possession,” so that “you may proclaim the excellencies” of the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; LXX-Ex. 23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6
not giving back evil for evil, or reviling against reviling; but, on the contrary, give blessing; knowing that you were called to this in order that you might inherit blessing.
Now the God of all grace, the One having called you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, you having suffered a little, Himself will perfect, confirm, strengthen, establish you.
