For if Abraham was justified by works, he has a boast, but not with God.

And as Pharaoh commanded his men as to him, even they sent away him and his wife and all that he had.

so that even as it has been written, “He that glories, let him glory in” the “Lord.” Jer. 9:24

For who makes you to differ? And what do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast as not receiving it?

For if I preach the gospel, no glory is to me; for necessity is laid on me, and it is woe to me if I do not preach the gospel.

But what I do, I also will do, that I may cut off the occasion of the ones desiring an occasion, so that in that which they boast, they be found also as we.

If it is right to boast, I will boast of the things of my infirmity.

For we do not again commend ourselves to you, but are giving you occasion of glorying on our behalf, that you may have it toward the ones boasting before the face and not in heart.

But the Scripture shut up together all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to the ones believing.

not of works, that not anyone should boast;

and be found in Him; not having my own righteousness of Law, but through the faith of Christ, having the righteousness of God on faith,

And Joshua said to all the people, So says Jehovah the God of Israel, Your fathers have in the past lived Beyond the River (Terah the father of Abraham and father of Nahor) and they served other gods.
