and spoke to them according to the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to it; my father chastised you with whips, and I with scorpions.
And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them and of their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are with you, and though you are living among scorpions. Do not be afraid of their words, and do not be frightened by their faces, though they are a house of rebellion.
And it was given to them that they should not kill them, but that they be tormented five months. And their torment is as the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.
