But I have a few things against you, that you have there some holding the teachings of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat idol sacrifices, and to commit fornication.

And he shall say, Raise up! Raise up! Clear the way! Make the stumbling block rise from the way of My people.

So Jehovah says this, Behold! I am giving stumbling blocks to this people, and the fathers and the sons together shall stumble on them; a neighbor and his friend shall perish.

And when the righteous one turns from his righteousness and does injustice, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die. Since you have not warned him, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered, but I will require his blood at your hand.

Because they ministered to them before their idols, and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel, therefore I have lifted up My hand against them, a statement of the Lord Jehovah. And they shall bear their iniquity.

And now, behold, I go to my people. Come, and I will counsel you what this people shall do to your people in the latter days.

Behold, these through the word of Balaam became to the sons of Israel a deliverance of treachery against Jehovah in the matter of Peor; and the plague was on the company of Jehovah.

And they killed the kings of Midian, besides the rest of their slain: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian. They also killed Balaam the son of Beor with the sword.

Woe to the world from its stumblingblocks! It is a necessity for the stumbling blocks to come, yet woe to that man through whom the stumbling-block comes!

To hold back from idol sacrifices, and from blood, and from the strangled thing, and from fornication; from which carefully keeping yourselves, you will do well. Farewell.

And as to the believing nations, we wrote, having judged them to observe no such thing, except to keep themselves from both idol sacrifice, and from the blood, and from a thing strangled, and from fornication.

And David said, “Let their table become for a snare and a trap, and for a stumbling block,” and a recompense to them;

Therefore let us no longer judge one another, but rather judge this, not to put a stumbling block or a snare toward a brother.

It is good not to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor anything by which your brother stumbles, or is caused to stumble, or is weak.

Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge fornicators and adulterers.

And Balak the son of Zippor, the king of Moab, rose up and fought against Israel, and sent and called for Balaam the son of Beor to curse you.

and “a Stone-of-stumbling, and a Rockof- offense” to the ones stumbling, being disobedient to the Word, to which they were also appointed. Isa. 8:14

forsaking the straight way, they went astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness,

Woe to them, because they went the way of Cain, and gave themselves up to the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the rebellion of Korah!

But I have a few things against you, that you allow the woman Jezebel to teach, the one saying herself to be a prophetess, and to cause My slaves to go astray, and to commit fornication, and to eat idol sacrifices.

But I have against you that you left your first love.

But for the cowardly and faithless ones, and disgusting ones, and murderers, and fornicators, and users of magic, and idolaters, and all liars, their part will be in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

But outside are the dogs and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one loving a lie, and making a lie.
