And I took the little scroll out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up. And it was sweet like honey in my mouth; and when I ate it, my belly was made bitter.

How sweet are Your words to my palate! More than honey to my mouth!

They are more desirable than gold, even much fine gold, and sweeter than honey, even drops from the honeycomb.

Combs of honey are sayings of pleasantness, sweetness to the soul and healing to the bones.

And He spread it before me, and it was written on the face and the back. And written on it were weepings, and mourning, and woe.

And I went away toward the angel, saying to him, Give the little scroll to me. And he said to me, Take and eat it up, and it will make your belly bitter, but it will be sweet as honey in your mouth.
